From a single vineyard at 400m elevation; fermented on skins for 7 days; basket pressed; matured in a mix of new and used French hogsheads for 18 months. While full bodied and still needing time, this has a certain elegance and balance to its spicy, savoury black fruits and velvety tannins.

Over the past decade, some special pockets of land have consistently stood out to the winemakers for their quality and individual character. Fruit from these vineyards was set aside, and made in small batches to highlight this character as single vineyard wines under the name “VSV” – Very Special Vineyards.
