A slip of fruit sweetness but it remains rapier-like and long. This is a scintillating riesling if ever there was one. In fact I think it just shades the “dry” riesling, though both are gold medal standard for me. This draws you in with its fruit and then shoots straight for the stars.

From J Block on the '76 vineyard, hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed, free-run, fermented in stainless steel, the pressings wild-fermented in 4yo French puncheons, blended and kept on lees with 15g/l of residual sugar. Delicate and elegant, residual sugar and acidity in lockstep.
