The 2019 Beechworth vintage has been described as 'classic' – not too hot or cold, dry or wet. Savaterre continues its top pinot run with another stunner, featuring fine aromatics drenched in Australian bush scents, pepper, tomato leaf, cherry and undergrowth. Offers a compelling wine with a vein of bitter herbs running long and an Italian amaro bite that brings an engaging savouriness. Clean, brisk, youthful and not even close to its prime.

An ancient varietal with its roots in eastern France, Pinot Noir is a red grape that is highly expressive of its terroir. The long growing season of the Beechworth region allows Pinot Noir grapes to develop slowly and to their fullest, most deliciously intense flavors. Savaterre's has undertones of cherry and plum with depth and velvetiness from maturing in oak.
