It's flavoursome, layered and complex, yet it's not too much of a good thing. Fine acidity seems to hold everything in place – the white nectarine, lemon zest and creamy leesy richness across the palate, and the oak just so, adding to its savoury tones. The flavours linger and it's moreish.

Racked directly to barrel after whole-bunch pressing, this wine is the purest expression of TarraWarra Chardonnay. Made without yeast or acid addition, the fruit batches from each block are kept entirely separate in barrel over the 10 months in oak.
