The predominance of the Uco Valley (the first two origins) comes through in the wine's fruity character, the red fruits, the sensation of mountain freshness—an acidic Andean energy is very present here. After 12 months in barrels, there's a certain smoothness, but even so, the tension of the texture is palpable and shows a vertical, firm, and juicy wine. You can drink it now with skirt steak or leave it in the cellar for 10 years.

Terrazas Grand Malbec is the blend of few selected terroirs of Mendoza chosen for their intensity, complementarity and credentials: Lican, Los Castanos and Las Compuertas (all above 1,000m altitude). The grapes are hand-harvested and the best bunches meticulously selected. The fermentation and gentle maceration extends over 20-25 days, followed by 12 months in French oak barrels. It is an intense, complex and structured wine, worthy of cellaring, though one which pairs brilliantly now with slow-cooked beef or stewed lamb.
