2019 Torres Altos Ibericos Crianza, Rioja

Torres Altos Ibericos Crianza is opaque cherry red. Rich fruit aromas of cherry, black plum jam with spicy green peppercorn and smoky notes. Intense, warm, with firm tannins nicely structured by oak aging and a backbone of subtle fruit acidity.

Founded in 1870 by Jamie Torres, today the Bodegas Torres is considered to be one of the world’s great wine families producing wines from across Spain, Chile and California. Torres has 1700 hectares on vines in Catalonia, which provides about one quarter of the companies production. Torres produce some of the world’s most famous Spanish wines, names such as Torres Sangre de Toro, Torres Viña Sol and Torres Coronas have introduced many a wine-lover to the wines of Spain and continue to provide delight as they have travelled onwards in their journey through wine.
