Palish pink colour with youthful purple-ish tinges. The aroma is smoky and reductive at first, savoury and understated on the palate, very dry and subtle with elegance and line. Smoked charcuterie. This has delicacy, balance and harmony, the finish cleansing and very dry.
This 60ha property was re-established in 1882, after the phylloxera epidemic devastated the region, and continues to produce some of the most sought after and long lived Rosés of the region.
The terroir is of crystalline rock with sand and gravelly soil. It benefits from the combination of the individual terroirs in the same area of the vineyard. It is this diversity that allows Rimauresq to excel in all three styles: red, white and rosé. The grapes undergo a light maceration when harvested and are then gently pressed. No malolactic fermentation occurs, keeping acidity fresh and lively, and the wine undergoes a light filtration for clarity. Another gorgeous release of a highly fragrant rose with depth of fruit and balance. Treat yourself. Vive la France!
This is a serious Rosé with delicate floral, strawberry fruit characters and a fresh dry finish. Rimauresq takes its name from the ”Real Mauresque” which is the river which flows through the vineyards. Its exceptional ‘terroir’, recognised through its Cru Classé status, results in wines of elegance, complexity and purity. It is a blend of 43% Grenache, 24% Cinsault, 10% Mourvedre.
