GG designates the very best steep slope vineyards within which the finest have been demarcated. Here the south facing slope (73%) has yielded this wine at 3.2 g/l RS and 6.8 g/l TA, 12.5%.
In spite of the very solid base of tannins and minerals, plus serious concentration, this remains so graceful and light-footed. Still very young and slightly yeasty from sur-lie aging. However, there are already so many delicate floral and herbal nuances, plus a hint of vanilla bean. Drinkable now, but best from 2022.
