2020 Jansz Vintage Cuvee, Northern Tasmania

Pale gold with a delicate bead and fine mousse. Aromas reminiscent of dry summer meadows, oyster shell and sea spray are overlaid with complex notes of sweet brioche, toast and hazelnut nougat. This is a precise wine with Chardonnay driving the lemon pip acidity on the palate. Elegance and purity of structure support flavours of lemon rind and oyster shell. Pinot Noir complements the drive and length of the Chardonnay with mouth filling texture and richness and flavours of delicate raspberry. Three years ageing on yeast lees in bottle has built further complexity and subtle nuances of baked lemon tart, nougat and roasted hazelnuts.
