This slice of the original Polhner family property was sold to the much-loved and missed Bob McLean in 1997 and today, Michael Twelftree and Tim Hower are the custodians of this special part of the Eden Valley. Wonderfully high-toned, detailed aromatics with tight, dark-and-red plum and cherry fruit encased in spice and stone. There's a sense of space to the palate; fine yet plush powdery tannins and bright high-country acidity pulsing through the wine, finishing savoury and pure.

John Duval is one of the world's best known winemakers, coming from a family that boasts four generations of South Australian vignerons.
