Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Canina Nera
This wine is made up of 95% Sangiovese complemented by 5% Canaiolo and (the increasingly rare) Canina Nera. The grapes are grown 250 meters all on sandstone soils on clay, which give the wine its character and structure. Vinified with 25% whole bunches and macerated for at least 90 days, followed by 18-month aging in third use French oak tonneaux, which gives additional complexity and depth to the wine.
