The 2020 vintage is regarded as an excellent year in Margaret River, producing Cabernet Sauvignon with exceptional purity, concentration and structure. Fruit was sourced from premium vineyards influenced by cooling Indian Ocean breezes, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly while retaining freshness and aromatic detail. Careful maturation in French oak adds subtle complexity, supporting rather than overshadowing the vibrant fruit.

Deep crimson with a youthful purple hue, the bouquet is layered with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and dark plum, complemented by cedar, bay leaf and dried herbs. As the wine opens, notes of dark chocolate, graphite and fine spice emerge, adding depth and sophistication. The palate is polished and beautifully structured, with concentrated cassis and black cherry flavours framed by fine grained tannins and lively acidity. The finish is long, elegant and persistent, carrying classic Margaret River notes of black fruit, cedar and savoury spice.

A superb companion for herb crusted rack of lamb, chargrilled ribeye, slow braised beef cheeks, roast duck or a wild mushroom and rosemary pie. While already drinking beautifully with a decant, this Cabernet has the balance and structure to reward patient cellaring for many years.
