The nose shows black cherry and red liquorice with sweet spice, terracotta, chinotto, musk lollies and rhubarb compote. The powerful and complex aromas are backed up by a flavourful medium-bodied palate. The tannins are entwined with the acidity and balanced with the mouthful of fruit and spice. The mid palate is sweet and fleshy but held in check by the tannins. The finish is generous and long.
