Made from 33yo vines. Fermented in foudre and matured in French barrels, 10% new. A deep, crimson plummy red. A convincing and appealing barbera from the start, with its aromas of dark morello cherry, fresh plum, sage and thyme. Totally delicious on the palate too. Ripe and rich, but not heavy, with fine-grained tannins rounding out a wine that can be enjoyed now and over the next 3–5 years. Would be fantastic with a bowl of pasta!
