The Trimbach family have been synonymous with great Alsace wine since 1626, their name becoming a benchmark for dry, finely structured Rieslings that reward both patience and attention at the table. Across thirteen generations the family have remained committed to purity, precision and a style that allows vineyard character to take centre stage.

The Vieilles Vignes Riesling is sourced from old vines planted across some of the finest sites around Ribeauvillé and neighbouring villages, with vine age bringing additional concentration, texture and complexity to the finished wine. Older vines naturally produce smaller crops and deeper root systems, delivering greater intensity while retaining the freshness that defines classic Alsace Riesling.

The colour is a bright pale straw with golden highlights. Aromas of lime blossom, green apple and white peach rise from the glass alongside notes of grapefruit zest, fresh herbs and crushed stone. The palate combines citrus purity with impressive depth, offering layers of lemon, orchard fruit and mineral notes carried by vibrant acidity and a subtle saline edge. There is wonderful energy throughout, with the old vines contributing extra texture and persistence on the finish.

Outstanding with freshly shucked oysters, grilled South Australian whiting, roast chicken with lemon and thyme or a caramelised onion and Gruyère tart. Drinking beautifully now but with the balance and structure to continue evolving over the next decade and beyond.
