Alas, this is the last Churinga riesling for winemaker Kerri Thompson because Jim Barry Wines purchased the vineyard. Don't worry, she has already secured fruit from other sites as of vintage 2021. There's an approachability to many Clare rieslings this vintage and here's another in that mode. A touch of stone fruit and quince, plus citrus for added refreshment, with lots of spices. The palate is key – textural with some neat phenolics adding another layer.

Wines by KT are small, lovingly cared for parcels of fruit that have traditional techniques used in their creation. I’m passionate about the township of Watervale 5452 and am working with dry grown, sustainably farmed vineyards in the area. With gentle care from grapegrower to winemaker, working with both organic and biodynamic principles, it’s my intention to produce wines with drinkability and personality.
This dry Riesling shows concentrated punchy stone fruit flavour with succulent and mouthwatering acidity. The hand picked fruit from the 1954 planted Churinga vineyard Riesling, is my ninth release from this special patch of dirt. With lifted citrus spice and juicy fruit flavour, this wine displays all of the concentrated fruit flavour that Watervale is renowned for.
