Hand-harvested, basket-pressed, wild-fermented in barrel, unfiltered and unfined, a little bit of lees stirring and 9 months in gentle seasoned French oak barrels and it comes up a treat.
It’s got a vivid, bright clouding mid-straw colour and displays a captivating nose of Meyer lemon, plenty of citrus cut, with hints of grapefruit and orange pith along with hints of soft spice, keffir lime, white flowers and notes of barley sugar and ginger further in the distance.
It’s a wine that is all about texture, flow and drive and were pleased to say it ticks all of those boxes with aplomb, with gentle tannin peeking from behind the citrussy fruit and a gorgeous saline zip to its acidity.
