With a dry finish this limited release wine is perfect as an aperitif while also having the body and complexity to suit dishes such as Tasmanian lobster in a rich butter sauce. Disgorged in October 2024, it will gain further richness over the next 5 years.
Produced in the traditional Champenoise method from Chardonnay (63%) and Pinot Noir (37%) and aged for an extended period on lees prior to release. There is a rich and complex nose with white and yellow stone fruit, red apple and a touch of shortbread. The palate is beautifully balanced with similar fruit characters supported by subtle hints of brioche.
The Bream Creek Cuvée Traditionelle from South East Tasmania is an elegant sparkling wine that showcases the finesse and purity of cool-climate viticulture. Crafted in the traditional méthode champenoise, this wine highlights Bream Creek’s dedication to producing premium sparkling wines that rival the best in the world.
On the nose, the Cuvée Traditionelle offers vibrant aromas of green apple, lemon zest, and white peach, complemented by delicate notes of brioche, almond, and a hint of toasted hazelnut. Subtle floral nuances and a whisper of minerality add complexity and intrigue.
The palate is crisp and refreshing, with a fine, persistent bead and a creamy mousse. Flavors of citrus, orchard fruits, and hints of baked pastry are balanced by a vibrant acidity and a touch of saline minerality, reflecting the coastal influence of Tasmania’s terroir. The finish is long and elegant, leaving a lingering impression of brightness and sophistication.
Sourced from cool-climate vineyards in Tasmania, the wine is crafted from a blend of classic sparkling varietals—Chardonnay and Pinot Noir—meticulously handpicked to ensure optimal ripeness and quality. Extended aging on lees enhances the wine’s texture and depth, resulting in a sparkling wine of exceptional balance and complexity.
This Cuvée Traditionelle pairs beautifully with oysters, smoked salmon, or fresh seafood dishes. It also complements creamy cheeses, light canapés, or desserts such as lemon tart or pavlova. Ideal for celebrations, it can also be cellared for up to 5–7 years, developing additional richness and complexity over time.
