Bittersweet notes at the finish. 75% semillon, 23% sauvignon blanc, 2% muscadelle.18 months in new and seasoned French oak. 13% alc

The 2021 Coutet needs time to cohere in the glass eventually offering sense of dried honey pressed flowers and quince. It just needs a little more pizazz. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity and good weight and attention showing the energy that is slightly lacking on the nose at the moment. Maybe it could benefit from more unctuousness on the finish but this remains an enjoyable Barzac that will gain complexity with age.

Slightly toasted orange rind and vanilla caramel on the nose. Lovely density and unctuousness on the palate, really quite rich and fleshy with peach, sweet pineapple and toasted almond notes on the palate. Mouthwatering and racy, but also textured, balanced and structured. A great effort with excellent ageing potential.

Fantastic energy and length to this young Sauternes, with dried-apple, apple-pie, spice and cinnamon character . Medium body, medium sweetness and a vibrant finish.

Great quality, bright and concentrated, dried apricots, mandain peel, fig, pineapple and candied ginger, with a touch of bitterness and a mouthwatering finish. This is gorgeous, one to look out for.
