DUE OCT 2024
Upfront and juicy but with a tension to it, quite focused and streamlined at this point. Fine but slightly chalky tannins give the gentle structure while the flavours persist in one line from start to finish. Could be quite severe but the tannins are soft and this has a juicy red fruit appeal with some bramble, cedar and toast aspects on the finish. Will be lovely and easy to enjoy. Eric Boissenot consultant. 1% Cabernet Franc completes the blend.

A successful effort, the 2021 Lanessan exhibits aromas of cassis, pencil shavings and loamy soil, followed by a medium to full-bodied, lively and supple palate that's fleshy and enveloping, framed by powdery tannins and bright acids. I suspect this estate could aim even higher, but they have produced an attractive 2021. Tasted three times.

The 2021 Lanessan has an attractive nose with pretty floral black fruit with hints of cedar. The palate is well balanced and cohesive good substance with a grippy finish. Not a complex Lanessan but it has presence and old school charm.
