The 2021 reds are taking time to settle into their finer shape thanks to the acidity, and this is starting to morph nicely. Some tangy and tart red cherries, kirsch with a hint of wintergreen and Angostura bitters. The tannins and acidity are having a play across the light to mid-weighted palate – a touch grippy – but should become friends in time.
