Ink black core into a deep purple rim. Mulberry, violets and iodine aromatics. Palate is weighty with ripe purple fruits that glide with serious class and distinction. A vineyard selection of shiraz parcels sourced from across the Eden and Barossa Valleys. The fruit is wonderfully pure and resonant with the 2021 release. All ripe satsuma plum, blackberry and black cherry with impressive density and palate presence. Oak-derived wood spice, clove and vanillin make their presence felt but less so on the palate, where fruit depth, texture and fine, kinetic tannins hold true, finishing long, bright and fruit-rich.

Opaque with lustrous crimson rims. Distinct aromas of beef bouillon and yeast extract, segueing to a dense, multi-layered core of licorice root, bing cherry, blue fruit allusions and eucalyptus. There is a hint of reduction, evincing tension. Yet nothing untoward. This is a solid, warm climate shiraz that is highly regional and made with a modicum of class, manifested in its sense of restraint. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
