There's more than enough heft to this wine, but it still manages to feel balanced, composed and well mannered. It's a good wine to spend time with. It tastes of blackcurrant, boysenberry, violets and mint, though under the hood, there are undergrowth, tobacco and leather characters. It slips down easily, but there's a lot going on, if you're in the mood to notice. This wine's tannin structure is impeccable too, which bodes well for the future.
