The grapes come from a mix of 50-year-old vines ex the flood plain and lighter soils away from the plain; open fermented, 9 days on skins, matured for 15 months in French barriques (25% new). The ’21 vintage has imparted an extra depth to the palate with its plum and cherry fruit engendering an uncommon elegance and opulence. A lot of wine for the price.

This classic, full flavoured shiraz was created using a combination of old vine fruit and careful winemaking. Grapes from our old vines were nurtured in small open fermenters before maturing in French oak for 15 months. This has helped to create a rich, velvety textured wine which shows a lifted floral bouquet with elements of spice, dark berries and chocolate.
