All in barrel, from three to seven years old. Mid lemon yellow, quite an oaky nose, in a lactic style. Will soon be racked to tank for a longer elevage, and then the oak should calm down. For the moment it dominates too much, though there is a clean minerality from the wine itself which shows at the finish. Drink from 2025-2028. Tasted: June 2022.

There is an expansive quality to this wine with its supple apple fruit, lifted by vanilla-cardamom spice and acacia honey, just exotic enough. Textural creme fraiche layers on the palate are kept in check by the wine’s mineral undertow, deceptively firm, bringing the wine back to centre.
