69/31% cabernet/shiraz. This wine always delivers an even, satisfying flow of currant and plum flavours, and it's on good form again here. Cabernet's leafy persona is clearly evident but then, so too is the cuddliness of shiraz. The dryness of the finish is noteworthy as well; everything here is in good shape.

Very good deep red-purple colour, with a minty aroma plus cassis and crushed-leaf, garden mint and it's certainly very fragrant, although the tannins are a mite on the grippy side with a certain hardness that lingers. It needs time. Good value, too. 20 Aug 2023 Drink 2025–2035
