Off Biscay clays with limestone deposits in Whites Valley. Like the shiraz in this range, there’s ample intensity of fruit and palate weight, but it has varietal integrity and stops short of heaviness. Classic herbal leafiness, cassis, blackberry and some savoury tobacco, celery salt and clove notes. It’s flavoursome, varietal and the price tag is more than fair.

Silken, savoury and medium bodied. Ripe cassis flavours initially, followed closely by a complex mix of savoury characters with more cigar-box, brambles and earthy undergrowth notes that really fill out the mid palate. There’s higher toned red fruits as well on return to the glass with a lovely, tight spine of acidity running through, really drawing the palate out.
