2021 Thymiopoulos Young Vines Xinomavro, Naoussa Macedonia

The Xinomavro Young Vines is unoaked and comes in at 13% alcohol. Fruity and easy, this has a subtle hint of earthiness that gives it a little distinction, but this is a straightforward and fruity style for the most part. The mid-palate is modest, and this is ready to drink right now. With a Beaujolais-like feel to it, it is an increasingly friendly wine these days.

The Xinomavro acidity does make it bright and lively, though, leading to a juicy and tasty finish. The acidity may preserve it, but this is made to drink young. It will also do well a little cooler than normal. Enjoy it this summer, a little cool and at a picnic where it will be a crowd-pleasing choice.
