A new source for Benjamin’s Charmes and, with it, surely the best wine Leroux has ever made under this label. The new parcel of mature, organically tended vines is on the upper part of the Grand Cru terroir known as Aux Charmes. Running alongside the Route des Grands Crus between Morey-Saint-Denis and Gevrey-Chambertin, this plot is opposite the border between LatricieÌres Chambertin and Chambertin itself. Alongside Leroux’s existing Mazoyères fruit, this cuvée now stretches to four barrels.
