This is a single-vineyard shiraz from the block considered by the Bleasdale winemaking team to be the estate's 'best block', located behind the cellar. It's a thick, flavoursome shiraz with modest oak input and the purity of its fruit kept on open, beautiful display. It tastes of licorice and blackberry, dark chocolate and bay leaves, and from start to finish, it feels both substantial and controlled. A dry, warm finish completes the picture.

In 1824, aged nine, Bleasdale founder Frank Potts joined the British Royal Navy as one of its dutiful powder monkeys. This wine celebrates the adventures of a young Frank Potts.
A single vineyard wine from our very best Shiraz vineyard, located behind the cellars. Matured in new and seasoned French oak hogsheads and puncheons.
Pure crimson, an intense and powerful wine, the accent is on dense blackberry, licorice and bitter chocolate, with savoury tannins running through the length of the palate.
