Half-way between Aix-en-Provence and Saint-Maximin, Château des Ferrages is one of the four fortresses that shaped the history of Pourcieux. Surrounded by wooded parklands, this traditional Renaissance building overlooked the village. Most of the building has been lost over time, and only the tower and a few architectural remains still exist today. Its most valuable treasure, however, is undoubtedly the wine domaine that bears its name.
Its 28 hectares of vines produce four cuvées which are carefully aged in the Château des Ferrages cellars. Over 1000 m2 of cellars combine modern vinification techniques and traditional methods of ageing. The domaine’s Côtes de Provence and Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire wines are regularly awarded medals and listed in top wine guides.

Terroir
Limestone soil made up of red clay. Parcels located in the villages of Pourcieux and Pourrières at the foot of Mount Aurélien and Mount Sainte-Victoire. Mediterranean climate.
Harvest and winemaking
Harvest is carried out by machine at night to preserve freshness and aromas. This rosé is the result of direct pressing and stabulation on the fine lees. Fermentation is temperature-controlled. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a low temperature. Ageing is carried out in stainless steel vats.
Tasting notes
Colour: elegant, bright and subtle rosé with a very pale rose petal hue
Nose: shows a fresh and fruity aromatic character with aromas of strawberry, grapefruit, citrus, and peach
Palate: fresh, well-balanced, and smooth. This rosé is fresh and full on the palate.
Food pairing: enjoy chilled as an aperitif or paired with all summer-time dishes (white meat, platter of charcuterie, salads, melon, Asian dishes, grills, etc.). Also great for pizza evenings, as well as pasta.
Serving temperature: 10-12°C
60% Cinsault, 30% Grenache, 10% Syrah.
This rosé has a beautiful rose petal colour and a very fruity nose. It is rich and full-bodied on the palate with a long finish.
