Varietal and fruity bouquet led by scents of plums and black currant, simple, light and enticing. On the palate the flavours remain with persistent black currant in the lead, then a touch of plum and dry stone. Super fine easy tannin and a refreshing acid line. Balanced and well made, ready to drink from day of purchase through end of winter 2025.

This alcohol removed Shiraz displays purple and crimson hues which lead to an intensely perfumed nose of violet, red fruits, and spice. The palate is medium bodied, supple, and silky in texture. Enjoy chilled and drink within 2 days of opening.
The fruit for this zero percent alcohol Shiraz was carefully selected from early ripening sites to express the ripe flavours at lower sugar levels. Traditional and gentle winemaking techniques were used to ensure the wine retains its bright aromatics and fresh fruit flavours. Modern alcohol removal technology was used to eliminate the alcohol from this Shiraz, without compromising the quality.
A different take on Shiraz that still leans into flavour, Lost Garden from Hawke’s Bay is crafted for those wanting the feel of red wine without the alcohol. Hawke’s Bay’s warm days and cooling coastal influence give the base wine plenty of fruit intensity, which is key when building a non alcoholic style that doesn’t feel thin or stripped back.
The aromatics are immediately inviting, ripe blackberry and plum with a touch of cherry, backed by soft spice, think clove and a hint of pepper. There is a gentle sweetness to the nose, along with a subtle herbal note that keeps it from feeling overly simple.
On the palate it is medium bodied for a zero alcohol style, with soft tannins and a rounded texture that gives a sense of structure. Dark fruit carries through, supported by a touch of spice and a lightly savoury edge. The finish is smooth and approachable, with enough grip to keep it feeling like a proper red rather than just fruit juice.
Winemaking here focuses on building flavour first, then carefully removing the alcohol while preserving as much character and texture as possible.
This works best with bold, flavour driven food. Grilled vegetables, smoky barbecue dishes or spiced lentils all pair well, and it also suits dishes with a bit of sweetness or spice, think sticky sauces or glazed vegetables.
Serve it slightly chilled for the best balance, and enjoy it for what it is, a full flavoured, easy drinking alcohol free red that still brings a sense of occasion.
