The enormously deep nose of candied citrus peel, floral honey and acacia blossoms pulls you into this incredibly concentrated, full-bodied white Hermitage. The textural complexity is off the scale, yet the wine is so precise and elegant in the long, breathtaking finish. A cuvee of 90% marsanne and 10% roussanne planted in the 1920s by the winemaker's grandfather. Bottled unfiltered and unfined. Drink or hold.

Very old school, almost Baroque nose, with dried mango and dried pear. Full-bodied, powerful and concentrated, the acidity is well balanced, the finish very long. A touch of hay and barley sugar, there are already some quite mature confit aromas. The alcohol feels slightly raised, but this is nonetheless an impressive Hermitage, one that favours grandeur over finesse. Malolactic completed, no fining and no filtration, then 18 months in oak.

M. Sorrel is a family-run estate in Tain-l’Hermitage with a legacy dating back to the early 20th century. The estate is known for its traditional approach and limited production, focusing on small parcels that highlight the unique terroir of Hermitage. Hermitage Blanc Les Rocoules comes from a single vineyard with vines over 60 years old, reflecting the estate's dedication to crafting wines with concentration and elegance.
Produced in the Northern Rhône, France, a region famed for its prestigious appellations and exceptional white wines made from Marsanne and Roussanne. The Hermitage appellation is renowned for its steep, sun-drenched slopes and granite-rich soils, which contribute to the complexity and longevity of its wines. Les Rocoules is a celebrated vineyard parcel known for its old vines and low-yielding vines that produce wines of exceptional depth.
Complex aromas of ripe stone fruits, honey, and white flowers, interwoven with subtle nutty and waxy notes. The palate is rich and textured, featuring flavors of apricot, peach, and almond, balanced by vibrant acidity and a touch of minerality. The wine’s long, elegant finish showcases its age-worthy structure and refined complexity.
