Cabernet Sauvignon is less common in the Adelaide Hills than Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc, yet the region's cool climate can produce beautifully fragrant and elegant examples. The 2022 vintage benefited from a long, steady growing season that allowed the fruit to develop flavour intensity while retaining natural acidity and fine tannin structure. Careful vineyard management and restrained winemaking ensure the wine remains focused on varietal purity rather than excessive oak influence.

Deep ruby red in colour, the bouquet opens with classic aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and dark plum, followed by hints of bay leaf, cedar, dried herbs and a touch of dark chocolate. Medium bodied and beautifully balanced, the palate combines ripe black fruits with subtle savoury notes and fine tannins that provide shape without heaviness.
