Peregrine Saddleback Pinot Gris Organic from Central Otago is a vibrant, textural white wine that brings together the purity of New Zealand’s cool climate fruit with a natural, hands-off approach to winemaking. Made from organically certified vineyards across the region’s elevated slopes, this Pinot Gris is bright and expressive, with a gentle richness that makes it both refreshing and satisfying.

Peregrine Wines, based in the Gibbston Valley, has long been at the forefront of organic viticulture in Central Otago. The Saddleback range is named after New Zealand’s endangered native bird—the tīeke—and reflects the winery’s commitment to both quality and environmental stewardship. Grapes are sourced from estate vineyards in Bendigo, Pisa, and Gibbston, each site contributing complexity and balance.

The fruit is picked at optimal ripeness, then gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel to retain freshness and aromatic intensity. A short period on lees adds texture and depth without overshadowing the wine’s clean, fruit-forward profile.

In the glass, it opens with aromas of pear, white peach, honeysuckle, and a hint of spice.
