Whole bunches (40%) and French barriques (30% new); 10 months maturation on fine lees. Lingonberries, redcurrant and strawberry leaves. The bunchy component adds a sappy, ripe mulberry leafiness and orange bitters on the palate. It's a wine that is designed and crafted from knowledge. Will cellar well. The oak just slightly clips the pureness of the fruit.

Philip Shaw No. 8 displaysd a rich medium to very bright red colour. On the nose its fragrant red berry fruit characters have beautiful upright complexity. The flavour has excellent fruit density, with soft mouth filling characteristics. This Pinot Noir has abundant length of bright fruit varietal flavours and texture on the palate; it's complex, complete and with age comes further development.
