Tenute Orestiadi was established in the heart of western Sicily to celebrate the island's rich cultural heritage and remarkable winemaking traditions. Working closely with local growers, the winery focuses on expressing Sicily's indigenous varieties through sustainable viticulture and modern, minimal intervention winemaking. The Molino a Vento range pays tribute to the historic windmills that once dotted the Sicilian landscape.

The vineyards enjoy abundant Mediterranean sunshine, cooling coastal breezes and mineral rich soils that allow Nero d'Avola to ripen fully while retaining freshness and balance. These conditions create a wine that is generous and fruit driven, yet refined enough to showcase the variety's unmistakable Sicilian character.

The colour is a deep ruby red with vibrant purple hues. Aromas of blackberry, black cherry and ripe plum rise from the glass alongside notes of violet, liquorice and sweet spice. The palate is juicy and generous, layering dark berry fruit over supple tannins and lively acidity. Hints of cocoa, dried herbs and black pepper emerge through the long, smooth finish, adding savoury complexity to the wine's rich fruit profile.
