Every year, Bleasdale puts out an incredible number of beautiful wines. Every year, it is a contender for our winery of the year, and when you pick up a wine like this, it's easy to see why. This wine is meticulous. If it was sitting an exam, it would get an A for flavour, texture and finish. It tastes of assorted berries and woodsy spices, and charm is its middle name.

As one of Australia’s most historic wineries, Bleasdale has been crafting wines since 1850 and continues to be family-run, maintaining a reputation for quality and value. Under the leadership of chief winemaker Paul Hotker, named Halliday Winemaker of the Year in 2018, Bleasdale has consistently produced standout wines that highlight the unique terroir of Langhorne Creek. This Grenache is no exception, offering a beautifully balanced and approachable style with depth, freshness, and silky tannins.

Bright ruby in color, the nose bursts with aromas of ripe raspberry, red cherry, and wild strawberry, complemented by floral hints of rose petal and dried herbs. Subtle notes of white pepper, baking spice, and earthiness add complexity. The palate is medium-bodied and silky, with juicy red fruit flavors framed by soft tannins and lively acidity. A touch of seasoned oak enhances the wine’s texture without overwhelming its pure, vibrant fruit. The finish is long and fresh, with lingering notes of spice and crushed red berries.

This Grenache pairs effortlessly with grilled lamb, roasted duck, or Mediterranean-style dishes featuring eggplant and fresh herbs. Its bright acidity and supple tannins also make it an excellent match for charcuterie, wood-fired pizza, or mild cheeses. Designed for early enjoyment, it can also develop further complexity over the next 5–7 years.

Bleasdale’s commitment to quality has earned it numerous accolades, including being named Halliday Wine Companion’s Winery of the Year. This Grenache is a perfect example of the winery’s ability to craft premium wines at exceptional value.
