Aromas of limes, green apples, umami, salt and seashells with some granite undertones. Medium-bodied with bright acidity and a firm palate. Lots of energy. Flinty at the end. Drink now.

Albariño has adapted well to Uruguay's coastal climate and this wine shows its potential. It starts with delicate aromas of lime and a dash of white pepper. Vigorous acidity provides support to a nice mix of stone fruit, orange, grapefruit and lime flavors that fade slowly into a lingering finish.

From granite hills overlooking the Atlantic in coastal Uruguay, this Albariño shows how naturally the variety adapts to Garzón’s breezy, ocean cooled vineyards. The single vineyard bottling highlights a specific parcel where poor rocky soils and constant wind limit vigour, concentrating flavour while preserving acidity. Bodega Garzón has built its reputation on precision viticulture and modern winemaking, and this wine is a clear statement of their coastal terroir.

The Atlantic influence is everything here. Long sunny days ripen the grapes fully, but cool nights and sea air lock in freshness. Winemaking is clean and exact, focused on preserving aromatics and crisp structure. No heavy oak, just pure fruit and mineral clarity.

Pale straw in colour with green flashes, the aromas open with lime, white peach and grapefruit, followed by orange blossom and a saline edge that hints at the ocean. The palate is light to medium bodied and vibrant, with citrus and stone fruit wrapped in bright acidity. Flavours of lemon, nectarine and crushed stone run long, finishing dry and mouthwatering with a faint salty snap.

It pairs beautifully with oysters, prawns, grilled fish and Mediterranean seafood dishes. Served well chilled, it becomes a perfect aperitif. Drinking beautifully now for its freshness, it will hold for five to seven years, gaining gentle honeyed complexity.

This is Atlantic Albariño in a New World voice, crisp, mineral and wind shaped.
