From the same organically farmed slopes that produce Cavallotto’s Barolo, this Langhe Nebbiolo offers a more immediate window into the estate’s style while still carrying serious structure. Fruit comes from younger vines within the Bricco Boschis holdings, grown on the same limestone rich soils that give Nebbiolo its perfume and grip. The intention is not to make a simple second wine, but a true expression of site in a more accessible frame.
Winemaking follows the same traditional philosophy as the Barolo, just with shorter ageing. Gentle maceration extracts colour and fine tannin while preserving aromatics, and maturation allows the wine to settle without stripping its youthful energy. The result is a Nebbiolo that feels honest, savoury and precise.
Bright ruby garnet in colour, the aromas lift with rose petal, sour cherry and raspberry, layered with orange peel, dried herbs and a faint earthy note. The palate is medium bodied and tightly wound, with red fruit wrapped in chalky tannins and bright acidity. Flavours of cherry and cranberry run long, finishing dry and mineral with classic Nebbiolo bite.
It pairs beautifully with pasta, braised meats, mushroom dishes and hard cheeses. Enjoyable now with air, it will age comfortably for eight to twelve years, gaining savoury depth.
This is Langhe Nebbiolo in a serious traditional register, vibrant, structured and unmistakably Piedmont.
