The Chaffey Bros La Résistance! GSM from the Barossa Valley is a lively and expressive red blend that celebrates the region’s old-vine Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro. The Chaffey Brothers, Daniel and Theo, have built their reputation on making vibrant, modern wines with a nod to European traditions, and La Résistance! is their playful yet serious take on the classic southern Rhône style. With Grenache as the lead, supported by Shiraz and Mataro, the wine delivers perfume, spice and supple texture while retaining the Barossa’s hallmark generosity.

In the glass it shows a brilliant crimson with purple hues. The bouquet is lifted and aromatic, offering raspberry, cherry and plum layered with violets, white pepper, savoury herbs and a hint of earth. The palate is medium-bodied and juicy, showcasing bright red fruits framed by silky tannins and fresh acidity. Subtle notes of spice, cocoa and mineral add complexity, while the finish is long, smooth and refreshingly savoury.
