The Barrel Fermented Cabernet Sauvignon takes a slightly different approach to the classic California style, using barrel fermentation to build texture and complexity while maintaining the variety's vibrant fruit character.

California's warm days, abundant sunshine and diverse vineyard sites provide ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2023 vintage produced fruit with excellent ripeness and concentration, allowing the winemaking team to capture the variety's rich flavours while preserving balance and freshness. Barrel fermentation and maturation contribute subtle layers of oak influence, creating a wine with more depth and sophistication than many everyday Cabernet Sauvignons.

Deep ruby red in colour with purple highlights, the wine opens with aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant and ripe plum, complemented by notes of vanilla bean, mocha and cedar. The palate is plush and approachable, offering generous flavours of dark berries, black cherry and cocoa wrapped around soft, velvety tannins. Hints of baking spice and toasted oak add complexity, while balanced acidity keeps the wine fresh and harmonious through the finish.
