2023 Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough

Sourced from a few sites across Marlborough’s Southern Valleys and the central Wairau Plains. A wine with delicate white florals, a posy of star jasmine and elderflower. Pomelo, loquat and star fruit. Small yellow guavas and aloe. This is beautifully balanced with naturally flowing acidity, crystalline salt flake salinity and a mealy texture of phenolics. It magnifies the vineyard aromas of leaf, sandy rock and abundant sunshine. This is a wine with everything in place, artfully held together by expert stitching. Truly a fine wine.

On the palate, juicy Winter Cole pear and baked apple pie notes are lifted by fragrant layers of elderflower, yuzu and ripe citrus. An elegant yet striking interpretation of Marlborough sauvignon blanc - textural and opulent, lifted and lingering.
