Highgate is part of a new wave of Hunter Valley producers embracing the region's rich winemaking history while crafting wines with a contemporary feel. The focus is firmly on drinkability, regional expression and allowing the fruit to speak clearly of its origins.

While the Hunter Valley is best known for Semillon and Shiraz, Chardonnay has quietly become one of the region's success stories. Warm days tempered by cooling afternoon breezes allow the fruit to ripen fully while retaining freshness and natural acidity, producing wines that balance generosity with elegance.

The colour is a bright pale gold with youthful green highlights. Aromas of white peach, nectarine and grapefruit rise from the glass alongside hints of cashew, citrus blossom and subtle oak spice. The palate is generous yet beautifully balanced, layering stone fruit and citrus flavours over a creamy texture and fine mineral line. Fresh acidity keeps everything lively and focused, carrying the wine through a long, satisfying finish.
