The Idée Fixe Brut Rosé from Margaret River is a sophisticated sparkling wine that captures both the freshness of Margaret River fruit and the finesse of méthode traditionnelle winemaking. Created by the team at Vasse Felix, one of the region’s founding estates, Idée Fixe is dedicated solely to sparkling wines, crafted with the same precision and elegance that has made the estate’s still wines so acclaimed. The Brut Rosé is made predominantly from Pinot Noir with a touch of Chardonnay, grown in cooler sites that bring vibrancy and aromatic lift.

In the glass it shows a delicate salmon-pink with a fine, persistent bead. The bouquet is elegant and fragrant, offering strawberry, raspberry and pink grapefruit interwoven with rose petal, citrus blossom and hints of almond and brioche from extended lees contact. On the palate it is crisp and refined, with juicy red fruits and citrus balanced by bright acidity and a creamy, mineral texture. The finish is long, dry and refreshing, with savoury complexity that makes it as serious as it is joyful.

Food pairings highlight its versatility and elegance: oysters with raspberry mignonette, seared tuna, duck breast with cherries, or charcuterie and soft cheeses. It is also a beautiful aperitif and works well with light summer dishes. Best enjoyed young for vibrancy, though it can cellar for 5 to 7 years, gaining richness and nutty complexity.
