2023 Lis Neris Tradizione Pinot Grigio, Friuli

Lis Neris has become one of Friuli's benchmark estates under the guidance of Alvaro Pecorari, whose pursuit of purity and precision has earned the winery an international following. Situated near the Slovenian border in Italy's northeast, the estate has built its reputation on white wines that combine richness, freshness and a remarkable sense of place.

The Tradizione range celebrates the classic varieties and styles that have defined Friuli for generations. Pinot Grigio thrives here on the region's gravelly alluvial soils, while cool Alpine influences and Adriatic breezes preserve freshness and aromatic detail throughout the growing season.

The colour is a bright pale straw with silver highlights. Aromas of nashi pear, white peach and lemon zest emerge alongside hints of white flowers, almond and wet stone. The palate is beautifully textured and refined, layering orchard fruits and citrus over a subtle mineral backbone that carries through to a long, refreshing finish.
