The colour has very good depth and hue, the bouquet is fresh and bright with red cherry, meaty charcuterie and fragrant dried herb overtones, the palate medium tomlight weight with a drying feel thanks to abundant tannin and lively acidity. This has more structure than usually seen in an entry-level pinot noir. Good value. 25 Jul 2024 Drink 2024–2031

This fruit was sourced from Two Paddock’s own vineyards in Alexandra and Gibbston and Bannockburn. Picnic Pinot Noir is made in a diminutive style aimed to reflect the characters that Central Otago Pinot does so very well – black and red cherry fruit, spice and a generosity that keeps you reaching for the next sip.
Redcurrant spicy pepper and dried herb aromatics with a fresh vibrant palate showing a rich ripe fruit profile and a soft elegant finish. Drink now and up to 6 years. This wine will drink well in its youth but has the potential to age.
