Rosily Cartographer Cabernet Merlot Organic from Margaret River is a rich, smooth and sustainably crafted red that showcases the elegance and harmony of this classic Bordeaux blend through the lens of Western Australia’s pristine terroir. Made entirely from certified organic estate-grown fruit, this wine reflects Rosily’s deep commitment to both quality and environmental stewardship—offering bold flavour, supple texture and regional character in equal measure.
The Cartographer is named in honour of Jacques-Nicolas Bellin, an 18th-century cartographer who first charted the Cape Leeuwin coastline near where Rosily now thrives. Located in the heart of Wilyabrup—Margaret River’s premium subregion—the estate benefits from gravelly loam soils, maritime breezes and a long growing season that delivers exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot fruit with natural balance and aromatic lift.
Each variety is harvested and vinified separately using small batch open fermentation before being matured in a mix of French oak barrels to build structure and finesse. The final blend is composed with a focus on approachability and length.
In the glass, it opens with aromas of blackcurrant, plum, bay leaf and cedar. The palate is medium to full bodied, showing ripe dark fruits, soft tannins and hints of chocolate and tobacco leaf. There’s freshness and poise, making it both cellar-worthy and enjoyable now.
Perfect with roast lamb, grilled portobellos or aged cheddar, the Rosily Cartographer is a standout for those seeking value, sustainability and classic Margaret River style in one package.
