2023 West Cape Howe Riesling, Mount Barker

The vineyard takes its name from the southernmost point of Western Australia, more specifically coming from the best blocks on the 45yo Langton vineyard. The perfumed, lime-infused bouquet is exceptional, the precisely calibrated palate continuing a beautifully sculpted wine. The price is ridiculously low.

This is a delicious dry Riesling that is still fine and delicate. It is well weighted, with a good depth of lovely, delicate, sweet lime fruit flavours. It is a Riesling with palate weight and texture with quite pretty fruit flavours and good palate length. It has a delicious tangy acidity which gives it its good persistence and it finishes with a nice lemon sherbet character.
