The Brave Souls The Lighthouse Keeper Riesling from Eden Valley is a vibrant and expressive white wine that captures the essence of this renowned cool-climate region. Brave Souls Wines, celebrated for its innovative approach and dedication to showcasing regional terroirs, has crafted this Riesling to reflect Eden Valley’s signature purity, freshness, and minerality.

Eden Valley’s high-altitude vineyards, with their cool temperatures and rocky soils, are ideal for producing world-class Riesling. The grapes for The Lighthouse Keeper are sourced from carefully tended vines, ensuring optimal ripeness and aromatic intensity. The winemaking process emphasizes minimal intervention, with fermentation in stainless steel to retain the natural brightness and clarity of the fruit.

On the nose, the wine reveals enticing aromas of lime zest, green apple, and white florals, with subtle hints of wet stone and jasmine. The palate is crisp and zesty, offering flavors of citrus, Granny Smith apple, and a touch of honeysuckle. Brave Souls is the creation of young winemaker Julia Weirich, in collaboration with Simon Cowham and Corey Ryan of Sons of Eden. The name is inspired by the story of the famous Admella shipwreck of 1859 and spotlights the remarkable accounts of those characters who risked their lives to help the survivors. Iconic Australian artist Bruce Goold generously agreed to visualise the tales of these Brave Souls for the project’s labels.
